WEB ACCESSIBILITY

The Wilderness at the Smokies is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

The Wilderness at the Smokies and our website wildernessatthesmokes.com, strives to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1  and is currently being updated using code compliant with W3C standards. The site will display correctly in current browsers and using standards compliant code means any future browsers will also display it correctly.

The Wilderness at the Smokies will adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability. To that end we have recently reviewed and hired a third-party firm to audit our entire website to identify non-compliant elements or documents and to bring them into compliance. We are continuing this process to ensure that the site remains up-to-date regarding updated guidelines.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may experience while visiting our website.

Portable Document Format
Some documents on the Wilderness at the Smokies website are produced in portable document format (PDF). In order to improve viewing of these files, please download the latest version of Adobe Reader, which is available for free at the Adobe web site. Alternative accessible formats also are provided, where possible, most commonly through a text or an HTML file.

We are continually seeking solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility. In the meantime, should you experience any difficulty in accessing the Wilderness Resort website, please contact  our digital media manager who will be happy to assist you.
