So, what does your title mean you do at Wilderness at the Smokies?
I manage Wilderness at the Smokies social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube. My role involves creating engaging daily content, interacting with our guests online, and ensuring our social channels capture the fun and excitement our resort has to offer. When I’m not behind the screen, I’m out in the parks connecting with guests and capturing photos and videos that showcase everything that makes Wilderness at the Smokies a one-of-a-kind destination.

What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job is that no two days are ever the same. One moment I’m at my desk scheduling posts, and the next I’m out and about in the resort capturing content to share the energy and excitement of Wilderness at the Smokies. I love getting to showcase those moments that make guests smile and inspire families to plan their visit. But what truly makes this role special is the incredible team I get to work with every day. Their creativity and passion make my job so rewarding!

How long have you worked at the Wilderness at the Smokies and in what roles?
I’ve been with Wilderness at the Smokies for 2 ½ years. I started as a Social Media Coordinator and was later promoted to Social Media Manager.

Favorite wet attraction at the Wilderness at the Smokies?
Hands down, The Wall! It’s a two-person tube slide at Lake Wilderness that’s full of thrills! Just when you think it’s over, you soar up a nearly vertical 35-foot wall before dropping backward into the splashdown below. It’s an experience you’ll never forget!

Favorite dry attraction at the Wilderness at the Smokies?
My favorite dry attraction is the XD Theater. It’s such a fun immersive experience, you feel like you’re right inside the action!

Favorite food venue at Wilderness at the Smokies?
Tacolicious is my go-to!

Favorite thing to eat at Wilderness at the Smokies?
The Beef Tacos from Tacolicious! They’re packed with flavor and always hit the spot!

Piece of advice for first-time guests?
One piece of advice I have for first-time guests is to make sure they experience The Peak! The Peak Rooftop Bar + Grill offers stunning views of the Smoky Mountains, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy great food and drinks after a day of adventure. Wear sunscreen, but most importantly, take time to relax between the big thrills, and enjoy the little moments, because that’s where the best memories are made.

Picking just one is nearly impossible, so I’m going with my top five! 😅 Bohemian Rhapsody, Guardians of the Galaxy, Remember the Titans, Napoleon Dynamite, and of course, every single Star Wars movie.
