Second Harvest Benefits from Skate for a Cause

On Saturday, November 16, our resort was happy to once again host “Skate For A Cause” on our real, outdoor ice skating rink. One hundred percent of the public ice skating admissions that day went to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee.

This deservomg nonprofit organization works with 18 East Tennessee counties where it has been estimated that over 202,500 people are at risk of food insecurity and are uncertain where their next meal will come from.

The resort raised $1,105.13 for hunger relief which will help provide over 3,300 meals to those who are food insecure. Our team members presented a check to Bailyn Brink of Second Harvest recently in celebration of the successful event. If you would like to make a donation to Second Harvest Food Bank please visit their website.

Our ice rink will be open through the holiday season. Its last day will be January 13. For more information on the other events we have planned and how you can have fun at the rink visit: https://www.wildernessatthesmokies.com/ice-skating-is-returning/
